$avage KD: From amateur music on GarageBand to professional sound

Takudzwa Matsatsa, 19, is a native of Melbourne (30 October 2002), Australia. He is better known as $avage KD, he says he started making music on GarageBand as a playful activity. He tells us about his musical career and his upcoming projects:

At the age of 16 he decided to monetize his art and show the world all his talent with the song Gimme Chicken (in 2018). “There are so many lost people like me, who are looking for hope and go through the same feelings and emotions as me, they just need someone to relate to,” that was one of the reasons why he started in music, according to $avage KD.

$avage KD: Music from GarageBand towards a more professional sound

$avage KD defines his style within the melodic drill, and is inspired by artists such as Tory Lanez21 SavageYoung ThugDon ToliverTrippie Redd and especially Travis Scott. My favorite song of all time is Leave Me Alone, it was my introduction to this new sound and I fell in love instantly,” says $avage KD.

$avage KD has collaborated with very promising artists, but highlights the work he has done with Lxrdmc and Kingdrip. In his latest EP entitled “Until Tomorrow” (released on 22/10/2021) he has 5 cuts of reflective music and melodic rhythms.

$AVAGE KD: HARD WORK BEATS TALENT WHEN TALENT DOESN’T WORK HARD.

It’s so evident in this industry, that the most talented artists who don’t value hard work and persistence remain unknown. Currently, $avage KD accumulates a total of 11,788 monthly views on Spotify and is working to publish more sound material.

The best part is the creative process and the effortless feeling of writing when you know the song is going to be a hit! The hardest part is fighting writer’s block or the constant feeling of discontent I have when I feel like I’m not working hard enough.

For $avage KD, it is elementary to love rejection and hatred, that is what will make you a great entrepreneur. People naturally hate things they are unfamiliar with or aren’t comfortable with. So the people who do things right are the most hated, “If you get into this, and you’re loved all of a sudden, it’s because you’re not challenging people enough,” $avage KD (Takudzwa Matsatsa).
