Questions and Answers to Yuungdax.

Would you give us an explanation of your name, and why did you choose it?

Yuungdax is the name, I chose it because I wanted something that stood out. Dax who is also a rapper, is the one I kind of named myself after, going from Dax 3000 to Yuungdax. I made an NBA player who looked like him and named him Young Dax, So I just switched it.

Yuungdax, Your style reminds me of the trap genre of Desiigner, the author of “Panda”. How would you define your style?

I define my style as drippy. Smooth, chill, and lyrical.

Are you working on an album or mixtape?

I’m currently working on an EP, along with singles in between.

With which artist would you like to collaborate in the future?

It’s many artists that I want to collab with, Ski Mask the Slump God, Comethazine, Eminem and Busta Rhymes.

I’ve listened to your songs and haven’t appreciated an iota of autotune. What is this about? What is your opinion about the auto-tune effect?

I’m not a fan of using auto-tune, I think most people use it as a crutch. It’s more of a genre on its own, growing with more people. I’m just not in that genre.

The instrumentals have a very characteristic sound, do you have a trusted producer?

No, I don’t have a trusted producer just yet.

What do you think about those who say that music is 90% marketing and 10% talent?

I don’t think 90% and 10% is the best ratio, but you do need more marketing than talent. There are mainstream artists that aren’t all that, but I bet their team boosts them in a long shot.
