In 2012, the artist we know as Michael J Foxx earned a bachelor’s degree with honors; in Music Theory and Engineering in 2012 at New York University (NYU) School of Music. Foxx is virtuoso with many genres and styles of music, but his style is deeply rooted in hip hop, a genre with which he has released several works, including seven albums, multiple mixtapes, numerous collaborations and features. “To be honest, I’m comfortable with all genres of music, but if I had to pick just one, it would be Hip-Hop. I would like to experiment with Punk-Pop mixed with Hip-Hop”, Miguel Mesias Earl (Foxx) in Free Press Info.
Foxx has released more than 250 songs in the last 24 months, and more than 65 music videos, which has put it in the spotlight of the best reviews. Foxx’s songs are loaded with deeply meaningful, clever wordplay, and varied rhythms.
I GET MY INSPIRATION AND MOTIVATION FROM LIFE’S EXPERIENCES AND, FOR THE MOST PART, I REALLY ENJOY MAKING MUSIC. IT IS THERAPEUTIC. MINDFULNESS ON THAT. WE ALL HAVE A STORY TO TELL, I LIKE TO TELL MINE THROUGH MUSIC. LAST BUT NOT LEAST, I HAVE INVESTED A LOT OF TIME AND MONEY IN MY HOME STUDIO, SO I PREFER TO PUT IT INTO PRACTICE.

This Canadian artist born in Yonkers (USA) has admitted that his best album to date would be “Still FOXX”. “It took me 2 years and I was extremely vulnerable with him. In that album I have dealt with many topics of my life. I’m extremely proud of how that album came out,” Foxx said.

I would love to work with all the artists again and keep going until we run out of ideas. All the artists I’ve worked with are extremely talented.
- Of the artists you’ve collaborated with, who would you repeat with? What was it like working with Jack Mills?
Working with Jack Mills is incredibly fun. Our chemistry is uniform. It didn’t take long for us to complete an album together. From the selection of the bar to the verses and the chorus, everything works perfectly.
- Now, which artist would you like to work with?
I would like to work with top Steam artists like J.Cole or Symba. I love the kind of substance they put in there. I feel like I’m at their level and would love to prove myself.
- “Radio City” is a very powerful album. How a step?
Radio City is a project I worked on alone. I recorded about 30 songs and then went through the process of elimination. I picked 18 albums and listened to them. After that, I selected each feature and put them on the songs where I felt they fit. I have to say it was a home run because all the featured artists delivered.
- Can you give us a preview of your upcoming projects?
My next project will be called “Bridging the Gaps” and will include artists from Canada and New York City. Being that I am the best of both worlds, this is going to be a powerful project.
