Joshua K. Willis makes his professional basketball debut with the Sirius Star Pilipinas on the 6th Philippine Tour

During his high school career, Joshua had ups and downs and struggled with his academic grades. However, his determination to improve led him to look for opportunities at boot camps like In The Gym Hoops. It was there that he was able to gain visibility and eventually play on the Morton High School team. Although his achievements in college were not as successful as he expected, Joshua did not give up and decided to pursue professional opportunities abroad to keep improving his game and pursue his dream of playing in the NBA.

His favorite city on the itinerary is Cebu because he wants to beat the NorthBall & Mavs Phenomenal Basketball team, which has more than 1 million followers on social media, for more exposure and notoriety.

As for the challenges of playing a new venue with a different audience, Joshua mentioned that the style of play and the way things work can be completely different. To accommodate the different coaches and playing styles at each tour stop, Joshua builds personal relationships with coaches and talks on the phone before the competition.

Joshua enjoys playing basketball in different parts of the world because of the new environments, rules and people. In addition, he loves to experience different styles of play and competitions.
